Brooke's spring break was during my track out so we decided to take a trip together! We wanted warmer weather but she does not have a passport and cruise dates did not work with our schedule. So we decided to drive down to Florida to see Grandma and Grandpa and go to Disney World!!
On Saturday, when we got to Florida, we drove to Winter Haven to have dinner with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a wonderful meal of chicken catcitore and salad. For dessert we had delicious tapioca pudding! Grandma, thank you for the awesome meal and for allowing us to visit! We had a great time spending time with both of you! I love and miss you bunches!
*Day 1 at Disney*
Sunday morning, we woke up to rain but headed to Magic Kingdom anyway! It was super rainy all day long but we had a blast and it was not busy at all! The longest we waited for ride was 30 minutes.
Brooke and I on the tea cups... didn't get too sick at all but I kept my eyes on those lanterns
Brooke on the carousel... she got the shorter horse
Getting ready to watch Philharmagic!
My favorite... "It's a Small World!"
The People Mover!
(This is how we looked for the majority of the day whenever we were outside!)
Posing with the back of the castle waiting for the parade... we had front row views of the parade!
The Parade with all the Disney characters... here are my favorites!
Nap Time= Country Bear Jamboree
Now posing with the front of the castle in the rain
Yet another self-portrait on the boat during the Pirates of the Caribbean ride
Then we took a bus to Hollywood Studios (formally MGM studios). We got a second wind but once we got there we decided we were sick of the rain and just plain tired so I did not take many pictures.
* Day 2 at Disney*
The next morning we woke up to a blue sky with no clouds whatsoever! We headed back to Hollywood Studios in the morning to enjoy it with no rain and we were more energized! However, everyone else had the same idea and it was super busy all day long!
The Toy Story Mania ride was the BEST ride ever! It had games in it you would play as your rode in the car. Super cool!
While you waited in line, it had all sorts of cool games to look at!
Then we went on the Studio Backlot tour ride! Cool to see what goes on behind the scenes!
This was the playhouse/barn in the "Hannah Montana" movie! I thought this was super cool!
At age 4 as I slapped the back of the car seat "I told you to take me here"!
As we left the ride, we saw Mike and
Sully from Monsters Inc.
We also saw Lightening McQueen and Mater!
Posing with the hat before leaving Hollywood Studios!
Waiting for the bus to take us to...
The tree of life (the center of Animal Kingdom)
First stop... why Africa, of course!
Meerkat
Gazelle
Then we went to Rafiki's pavilion
Animals in the petting zoo:
New Zealand Pig
Sheep
Donkey, of course!
Train ride back to Africa
Then we rode on the Kilimanjaro Safari. We saw many of the same animals we saw on safari in Africa but it went much faster and we were given very little time to take pictures!
After our safari, we headed to Asia.
This part was cool to me because I have never seen animals up close that are from Asia.
Komodo Dragon
Sleeping bat
Siberian Tiger (he was so cool to see so close!)
Not a gazelle but close to it... I cannot remember what it was called.
Our favorite show... "It's tough to be a bug"! This was soo cool with the best effects!
This was such a fun road trip and a great experience for the two of us to explore together! We were quite nervous of the long driving time but it was not too bad at all! Brooke, I am so glad to got to do this together!
