The Radcliff Pack: First Full Day of Prague

This morning, we had a tour of parts of Prague. We started out by going to the Prague Castle. It is a very large castle with lots of parts and pieces to it and we only did a small section. But since it was a Sunday and people were there worshiping, we could only see the outside of the cathedral... not the inside (SO sad- sense the sarcasm because we all know my love of cathedral tours)!

There was a story of this headless statue and it had something to do with a cockroach but Aunt Jeanne and I weren't listening

This is when our tour ended so Aunt Jeanne and I continued exploring the city on our own. These buildings were in Old Town and looked picturesque to me.

This crosswalk sign had a countdown for how long you had to wait before you were able to cross again... I found that too cool and quite smart!

Our first stop was to the Charles Bridge. This is a long pedestrian bridge filled with vendors. It is also known for having lots of statues.

After we walked the Charles Bridge, we headed to a large Christmas market in Old Towne for lunch. We saw this petting area first... too fun and sweet animals!

Then we had to get hot mulled wine... of course! We got white wine this time and even got to add fruit!

We headed for Wenceslas Square for a walk up the hill and Christmas Markets along the way

Once we made it to the top, we treated ourselves to the treat we had seen the past two days but hadn't gotten yet... trdelnik! It was even better that it looked! So doughy in the middle!

At this point our legs and feet were tired, so decided to take a Subway home. While it was hard to figure out how to purchase tickets and where to go, it was SO clean and I felt very safe!
