Nuremburg Christmas Markets

We woke up our first morning on the ship in Nuremburg to rain.  But we are in Germany so life continues on!  

We started off the morning with a tour around Nuremberg.  First we went to the castle.  It was very cool to look at... neat structure!

There was some meeting with government officials so we weren't allowed in the castle... here are the police parking to get ready to guard it.

Then we walked into the city square.  This is the fountain in the center.

This is the International Christmas Market where different cities and countries are represented... Atlanta, Georgia was the USA state represented.  It was too cool to see all the places!

Gingerbread are well known in Nuremburg and the ones we tasted were oh so yummy!  (These were just cuter to photograph)

Nuremburg is also known for prune people (Don't worry... I got one so I can show you)

More gingerbread

Ok... this MADE my dad!  There was a group of school children and a child came back with cotton candy and the rest of the kids were all over it!  The proud sweet boy posted for me!

Aunt Jeanne treated me to my favorite... Nutella crepe!

 

We later ran into the same school group and the teacher was leading the kids in a line using the cotton candy as she held it up high!  Then she divying it out to each child.  They were so excited to have a piece!

On the fountain, there is a gold ring and if you turn the ring while making a wish, it will come true! ;)

 Then we had our fancy dinner so we took pictures during dinner time.
