I heart New York!

We had a great time in NYC and as always, it is sad to leave (well, at least for me)! Below is what we did on Sunday and Monday, as shown through pictures. (No worries... there will not be a novel from me- too tired.)

Sunday, June 14:
We went to church, which was held at The Greenwich School. I had a blast walking through the halls and seeing the cute classroom displays. It was their Missions Sunday so they sang two songs that we sang at church in Kenya- how cool is that?

Battery Park
(This is the area where you get on the boat to go see the Statue of Liberty. We decided not to go because we saw it last year and we were not able to go up it, like we had hoped.)

Two pictures I could not resisit. What great men- they offered to carry my very heavy purse and I did not even ask (promise!)


Word Trade Center Site
(Which is now, just a hole in the ground with a lot of construction.)


A 9/11 memorial that was set up for the American Express employees who died while working on the 94th floor on the WTC.

A church and cemetery that is across from the WTC site. It was known for helping many workers during the recovering and clean-up after the bombing.

Walked across Brooklyn Bridge (sorry there are not more and better pictures, all of our camera batteries died!)

After we got back, Paul and took pictures of Times Square at night time on the TKTS steps.


Monday, June 15:
The American Natural History Museum
Here is the outside of the musuem, as seen on the movies: Night at the Museum and the 2nd one.

The New York City Public Library

The Children's Section of the Library (and the only part we actually saw books)

After the Library, we packed the car and left the beautiful city. We headed to Boston. On our way there, we stopped at the "Black Duck Cafe" that Dad and Mom saw featured on "Diner N Dives" on Food Network. Their stuffed burgers were yummy!

We made it to Boston around 11pm and were quite tired! More on our first day in Boston soon!
