Plitvice Lakes

We left early, yet again, and headed for Plitvice Lakes. On our way, we stopped at Senj to stretch. Aunt Jeanne and I put our feet in the Adriatic Sea. It was so slippery because of the moss but it was fun to say we did it!

Then we got back on the bus and headed to lunch. The BEST sausage and bean soup ever!

Next stop was our hotel in Plivtice National Park. We went to our room to get settled and I put up my puffy feet and cankles. Then we headed to our hike of the Plivtice Lakes! I was look forward to this the entire trip but was weary of the hike. It was not bad at all and the views were totally worth it... breath taking and spectacular! Plivtice lakes is 16 lakes that are connected by waterfalls which go through plants and moss. It was just GORGEOUS! The lakes were a clear and glistening green-blue. Just spectacular! I will let me pictures do the rest of the talking!!

After our hike, we stopped for an ice cream break and then took a boat ride back.

But before we got to our hotel we had to climb 288 stairs!! It was not as bad as we thought but we were still proud of ourselves! Here is Pat (83 years old and has been to 98 countries) walking up with the help of Marte and Jean Guy.
After a much needed shower (what a mess that was!! Let's say that half of a shower door with the shower head in the middle of the wall while washing my thick hair is not a good combination), we headed to the lobby for computer time and some wine with our Betty! (Jean was in the shower.)

After our dinner downstairs, we came back up, had some computer time, and then headed to bed. Up next... Split!
